Tuesday and Wednesday

The fog (or haar as it's known locally) did eventually clear and we managed to get a shoot at 900 yards which went quite well.

The bad news is that Peter has picked up a stomach virus. We are hoping he is now on the mend and we've been taking what precautions we can to minimise the chances of us catching it.

Last night Rick and I took a stroll around Carnoustie town.  It's a small place but is nice enough and the locals are all very friendly.

Commonwealth Games - The First Few Days

I thought this was a good opportunity to start the blog.

I'm sitting outside the Athletes' Lounge at the fullbore range which is just behind the 1000 yard firing point.  We can just about see the 500 metre firing point through the fog that rolled in this morning after we had our first practice shoot. So I now have some time to write a few words on the blog.  (Just to clarify, I haven't made a mistake - we are shooting 300, 500 and 600 metres and 900 and 1000 yards.)
